Loved your set at the Brunton last night. The kids loved the signed CD - thank you! We have new songs to try to sing along to in the car now.
My parents cannie wait to see you in Gigha. Thanks to all involved for a wonderful experience.

It was a pleasure to listen to your performance in the Brunton Theatre last night. It"s so rare to be able to enjoy live music where the p.a. system is set up expertly to complement the well-balanced ensemble on stage, and the over all volume is not too loud. Thanks

Saw you last night at the Buccleuch Centre, a beautiful venue. A brilliant evening, you were fabulous, and the lads were just great. The arrangements of your songs when you are singing live are so good that you forget about the other instruments on your cd"s.
Thank you for a wonderful evening

I am a great fan of your music, both in solo and Capercaillie guise. I have seen Capercaillie quite a few times but had not been to one of your solo concerts. I was pleased to get tickets for your concert at Bury Met on the 21st. May. That is my regular local venue. Whilst I did enjoy the concert (and I am sorry to introduce a negative note here), I though that the set lengths too short. The first set a mere 35mins. The sencond set about 50mins. Without the exposure of other types of music, folk music relies on word of mouth an a supportive fan base. I think that we deserve better that 75mins.

Hi Karen,
Do you have a sister, Judy Matheson who was a TV announcer in the 1980"s - you look a bit like her!

Hello, Karen
I had the prvilege of listening to you on Radio Scotland tonight, 8th MAy. Your Ae fond Kiss and the other selections struck many a chord with me. I am the relict of Seumas Breatannach, your distant Barrach cousin. I know you spoke with him on Castlebay Pier back in the early oughties. Seumas is with your ancestors now, but I know he was listening in tonight Thank you for giving him back to me. You are always welcome in Nova Scotia. Slainthe mhor, Mairibheag

Hi Karen.
Just wanted to say hello and how are you? Can I just say god bless youtube, because for every stupid, pointless 10 minute clip on that thing there is an absoultely amazing and seemingly effortless performance by yourself and your accomplished transatlantic and capercaille friends. No matter where you travel or pub you venture there is always at least one good even brilliant singer but your voice is unmatched. A song that makes the hair on your back stand up is amazing but a song that makes the hair on your back stand up the 50th time you have listened to it is something special. I am from Tyrone myself in N Ireland and cant help but notice the connection between wonderfully gifted and sexy singers like yourself and Julie Fowlis with the Gaelic language?
Either way keep yourself well and please try and get a gig in Ireland sometime soon, and at the risk of sounding pushy...give Paul Brady a bell for a duet, Ae Fond Kiss by you two is possible the best song and version ever recorded. :)
