I have looked but cannot find what album this song is on. Can anyone help me, please? Miss Matheson, you truly do have the voice of an angel. Como decimos en mi pais PURA VIDA Adrian Cavazos <adriancavazos1@yahoo.com> Sunday 21st February 2010 Dear Karen, I know I had written before but there is something else that I want to say. I know that I said that I love your singing but your Scots Gaelic singing has changed my life. Because of it, I am learning the Scottish Gaelic language. I live in the United States but I am fascinated by the language. I was shocked when I learned in 2007 that the language was 58,000 speakers which seems to be "endangered" because it seems like when the language is below 50,000 speakers, it will be declared extinct. Keep up the great work. I am interested in preserving the Scottish Gaelic language. Sincerely, a fan, Adrian Cavazos Adrian Cavazos <adriancavazos1@yahoo.com> Sunday 21st February 2010 I love your singing Karen. I especially love the song "Cannan Nan Gaidheal". You are a talented singer. Britt <bfarbo@gmail.com> Wednesday 17th February 2010 Dear Karen, I hope this note finds you well. I am deploying to Afghanistan in a few days to do volunteer work with the women who live in the refugee camps on the outskirts of Kabul. For the past several sleepless weeks I have been listening to your albums to keep my wits, your music makes me feel better instantly. Especially in times of fear and doubt. I know that your music will help me get through the next six months on the front and beyond. Thank you for helping make my soul stronger. BF Clive Quick Sunday 7th February 2010 Hi Karen Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed last night"s final Transatlantic Sessions live at the Festival Hall. You were in great voice and the whole concert was one of the best we"ve seen - just how folk music should be. I did want to point out one thing and that is with regard to the sound setup - it didn"t seem to allow for much movement away from the microphone and so at various points, your voice faded a bit. This is said not by way of criticism but to tell you something you may not have realised! donna <meardonna@hotmail.com> Thursday 4th February 2010 Hi went to see you last night at transatlantic sessions at the sage gateshead. Waited afterwards in case you came out. i"m a huge fan of yours, it started when I was 13 (1992) i was sailing round scotland in a yacht and the skipper played get out over and over, when I got home I ent out and bought that album, and every capercaillie and solo album produced. You, and your music moulded me through my teens and I wouldn"t be the person I am today if I"d not gone on that trip and inroduced to you. I"ve now seen you and capercaillie 4 times in total. I even named my daughter evangeline because of your song, and even have it as my mobile ringtone! Thankyou for the music and your influence. you are amazing! Tell the rest of the transatlantic gang they were fantastic too! roger hammond-Baker <rogerhambak@aol.com> Saturday 23rd January 2010 Hi Karen, New to this. We did meet once many years ago at a gig you did, it was set up/run by Sam Gifford from Foss Tummelbridge and he called it "The event in a tent" as indeed it was held in a marquee. This was at Bruar Falls near to Blair Atholl almost 20 years ago. I had been asked by Sam Gifford to attend as the safety officer for the event which was a requirement in order to get a function licence, I was at the time a fireman at Perth fire station. My girlfriend at the time Sandra Mann (a huge fan of yours and the band) and I met you and the band in the adjoining hotel after your perfomance, we were told it would be a party but from memory we just had a few drinks. Sandra purchased one of your CDs and I spoke to you and said that you "have the voice of an angel" but I do not suppose you will remember any of this and I am sure that I am not the only one to inform you of this. Your husband was there and the rest of your group. Fond memories indeed. Kind personal regards Roger roger hammond-Baker <rogerhambak@aol.com> Saturday 23rd January 2010 Hi Karen, New to this.
